Richmond Academy of Medicine Ethics Booklet
This brochure contains relevant ethical opinions of the American Medical Association’s Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs. The recommendations of the Richmond Academy of Medicine’s Ethics Committee are included as a means of providing guidance in the practice of medical ethics. The Committee hopes that the summaries of ethics and practice issues contained in this booklet will be helpful to all Academy members.
Physician's Guide to Medical Staff Organization Bylaws
This is the fourth edition of the American Medical Association's (AMA) Physician's Guide to Medical Staff Organization Bylaws. Revisions to The Joint Commission Standard MS.1.20 were approved at its June meeting.These revisions address medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and policies. These revisions were written with the intent of supporting and reinforcing a productive working relationship between the organized medical staff and the governing body – consistent with the requirements of the new Leadership Chapter – while minimizing disruptions to the hospital, including its medical staff.
